Speed Sensorless Vector Control of Induction Motor Using MRAC Estimator

In recent years, many speed estimators have been developed in order to eliminate the use of the shaft speed sensor. Among them, Model Reference Adjustable Control (MRAC) is the simplest close-loop speed estimator that based on a machine model. In this paper, speed sensorless vector control for induction motor using MRAC is presented and simulated by Matlab/Simulink. Performance of the sensorless drive has verified the accuracy and effectiveness of the MRAC estimator.
