Investigation of the Color Shift of White Road Markings

The paper presents an investigation on the color characteristics – color coordinates (chromaticity) and luminance factor in daylight conditions of white road markings paint at different exploitation state. The chromaticity of new and exploited paints of the same kind have been measured along with their luminance factors and the color differences have been estimated. The results are presented in the CIE 1931 XYZ color space with the chromaticity regions of white marked in it.
