Quantitative Terahertz Magnetometry

Here we present an approach to quantitatively measure the ultrafast magnetization dynamics in laser- or THz-excited samples using THz emission spectroscopy, in a fully calibrated manner. As an example, a reconstruction of a complex transient demagnetization process in laser-excited iron film will be demonstrated.
