An On-Line Detection Optimization Method of SSPC Based on Transient Temperature Analysis

This paper analyzes the transient heat dissipation of Solid-state power controllers when it is turned on with capacitive loads, and presents two methods to reduce the instantaneous temperature rise. In order to ensure the key device in SSPC, the VDMOS junction temperature is controlled within the safe working area, an online detection method for transient temperature rise based on the thermal-sensitive electrical parameter analysis is proposed. Compared to the measured results of the infrared thermal imaging, the VDMOS junction temperature measurement accuracy is about less than 2%.
