Investigation of System Distortions by Scattering of Very Large Wind-Turbines in Some Distance to DME-Navigation Stations on the Ground

This paper describes the application of the numerical 3D-modelling and scattering analysis for the multiscatterer case, such as for wind-farms (WF) related to a pulse based DME-system (Distance Measuring Equipment). The resulting DME-range-error is affected by pulse-distortions by scattering of large wind-turbines (WTs) in some distance to the DME-ground-station. The DME-system, the generation and aspects of range errors and some numerical simulation results are presented.
