Improvement of Radiated Emission Measurement Chain by Utilizing a Metallic Planar Lens

This paper discusses the results of the improvement in the radiated emission measurement. The limitations of the radiated emission test setup led to the idea of placing a metallic planar lens in front of the antenna to increase the gain of the measurement chain. The methodology was based on the design and the simulation of the metallic lens, followed by the measurement of a similar setup with and without this lens. The collected results of simulation and measurement show that the gain rose by around 5 dB.
