Introduction of a Digital Twin for the Product Development Phase

Early adoption of a Digital Twin (DT) is a growing topic within the manufacturing industry and is believed to benefit the rest of the product's life cycle. This paper shows the an implementation of the research DT framework within a real logistic environment during the product development phase, as well as an accuracy test over time between the virtual and physical space functionalities results of the DT. Outlook over the implementation of the DT within the final and more complex logistic environment is given.
