Features of Engineering Thinking in the Development of a Manager's Professional Skills

The development of modern technogenic civilization determines the relevance of the analysis of the development of the engineering features thinking and the professional skills of a manager. Engineering thinking expresses the essential and semantic features of the initial understanding of technology and the characteristics of the modern technical mind. Technical thinking expresses the objective essence of technology. The essence of technology consists in the “enframing”. “Enframing” acts as a way by which reality, through human activity coming out from its concealment and becomes “consisting-in-presence”. The total dominance of technology forms the necrosphere. The main purpose of technology is the liberation of man from the power of nature and the power of the necrosphere. Manager's activity can occur in line with one of the types of rationality. There are six types of rationality: pre-paradigm, classical, non-classical, post-non-classical, technorationality, pararationality. Pararationality acts as a new type of rationality based on figurative, superrational itellection. For the development of the professional skills of a manager, pararationality opens up the possibility of mastering the skills of a hermeneutic analysis of reality.
