This work exhibits an analysis of the modern individual capable of innovation and engagement in innovative activities. Said individual responds adequately to changes of the social environment. The innovative potential of individuals and groups is brought into attention, as well as their ability to find unconventional solutions in normal situations. It is important to note, that specific character traits play a significant role in the social profile of the said individual, helping them to be successful in the field of any innovative activity. The methods implemented during the study include theoretical: analysis, synthesis, comparison; practical methods: observation. The idea of developing innovative skills is propound, it involves cultivating necessary personal qualities: risk-taking ability, opportunity seeking, challenging “the norms”, setting ambitious goals, resilience, desire of for feedback.
