Feasibility of Producing Magnetic Wedges of Figured Shape for AC Electric Motors

The expediency of production of figured groove wedges from nanostructured composite magnetic materials is considered for the goal of achieving higher performance AC motors of low and medium power. A composite material developed for the manufacture of magnetic wedges using a nano-sized soft magnetic modifier makes it possible to improve the mechanical properties of the wedge material and provide the required characteristics of the magnetic wedge. The results of determination of the magnetic permeability of a polymerized composite material of small magnetite particle size showed competitive results in comparison with analogues and high manufacturability equal to analogues that have proven themselves in classical designs of induction motors.
