Research on the fault-tolerant control in thermal management subsystem of multi-stack fuel cells

In Multi-stack Fuel Cell System (MFCS), faults of sensors and actuators will affect the output performance of fuel cell, even lead to the failure of the whole system, so it is necessary to design the fault-tolerant control strategy that keep the stability of MFCS. For the actuator fault of MFCS thermal management system, an active fault-tolerant controller based on sliding mode control is designed to reduce the overshoot and tuning time of the stack temperature after the fault of actuators by adjusting the control law. A Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) platform based on CAN is built to further validate the fault-tolerant controller.
