A Low-carbon Dispatching Framework of Electrified Mobility-on-Demand Fleets

Electrified mobility-on-demand (E-MOD) fleets will play an important role in the future urban transportation system, which transfers carbon emissions from the traffic sector to the power sector. In this paper, a low-carbon dispatching framework for the E-MOD fleet is proposed to coordinate the fleet operator and power system operator, which comprehensively considers the different dispatching spatiotemporal scales and privacy issues between them. For the E-MOD operator, the precise order-serving and rebalancing at the individual vehicle level are calculated based on a vehicle-shareability network model and then aggregated as boundary conditions in vehicle flow form and uploaded to the power system operator. For the power system operator, a low-carbon multicommodity network flow model is built to optimize the fleet's charging management schedule. Numerical simulations on New York City are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed framework.
