Monitoring and Analysis of Surface Deformation Over the Oilfields in the Western Qaidam Basin Based on MSBAS

The Qaidam Basin is one of the most important oil production bases in China. However, there is still a blank in the research on monitoring surface deformation of the oilfields in the western Qaidam Basin by InSAR. Therefore, in order to better secure the safety of the oilfields in the western Qaidam Basin, this paper adopts the Multidimensional Small Baseline Subset (MSBAS) method to process 114 ascending and descending Sentinel-1A SAR images simultaneously. It extracts vertical and horizontal time series deformation of the oilfields in the western Qaidam Basin from 2021 to 2022. The results show that in the study area, the surface of Huatugou oilfield has slightly subsided, while the surface of Ganchaigou oilfield and Youshashan oilfield has obviously uplifted, and the east-west surface deformation caused by oil exploitation cannot be ignored. The acquisition of the two-dimensional surface deformation field can provide support for oilfield development planning and surface subsidence control.
