Analysis of Influencing Factors and Risk Assessment of Grid Closing Based on EMD

Limited by complex construction conditions and high transformation cost, some regions present the problems of insufficient power supply and lower power system reliability. To reduce power outages on grid loads and improve the power supply capacity of regional power grid, short-term power grid closing can be used for grid load transfer. Based on this, this paper analyzes influencing factors of power grid closing and the problem it could couse. Frist of all, considering the change of electrical variables near the closing point in the closing process, the Empirical Mode Decomposition method is used to decompose the corresponding electrical variables curve, and it can display the components of the turbulence visually during closing process, and the theoretical analysis of the closing process was verified through this method. And then, paper shows the study of the impact on power angle stability, current and voltage stability and steady-state power flow transfer. Secondly, the article summarizes the subjective factors and objective factors that could affect grid security during closing, and proposes four risk indexes for power grid closing. In the meantime, the article takes the local power grid closing operation in a certain region as an example to verify the rationality of the closing risk indicator.
