Source-Load Integrated Optimization for Distributed Energy System Considering Low-Carbon Demand Response

Carbon emissions from the distributed energy system account for more than 40% of the global total CO
2
emissions. Carbon reduction in the power industry is one of the most effective measures to deal with global warming problems. To address this challenge, we consider the transformation of high carbon emission power plant into carbon capture power plants (CCPPs) on the source side, adopting the flexible operation mode to capture the CO
2
generated by the system. Moreover, Low-carbon demand response (LCDR) is introduced to replace the traditional demand response on the load side, which changes the user's electricity consumption behavior by the dynamic carbon emission factor as a guide signal. We further propose a low-carbon economic scheduling method of source-load synergy and construct a low-carbon economic dispatch model considering the optimal comprehensive cost of distributed energy system. The positive impact of this method on reducing the CO
2
emission of the system is analyzed and the efficiency of wind power utilization is improved. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed method is verified by simulation in the standard IEEE 39 bus test system.
