Factors Influencing Electronic Payment Systems in Small and Middle Enterprises

An electronic payment system (EPS) is a tool used for conducting transactions or paying for goods and services without any physical processes such as cash or cheques. Organizations such as Small and Medium enterprises (SMEs) are looking to enhance their sales performance through a secure tool such as EPS. This paper discusses the factors that influence the adoption of EPS in SMEs. The authors have analyzed and conducted a literature review to explore the most critical factors that affect the adoption of EPS. Factors have been sent to experts to validate and select related factors that can affect an individual's behavior towards the adoption of EPS. This paper proposes a conceptual framework for adopting EPS in SMEs to support sales.
