Abstract:

With the increased adoption of electric vehicles contributing to the dynamic change in transportation infrastructure in the city of Dubai, this paper proposes an optimization model to determine the appropriate placement of new EV charging stations, further expanding on, and enhancing the existing network of EV charging stations in the city. The factors invoked in computing the optimization algorithm can be used in any level of EVCP use case.
