BER Performance Analysis of Antenna Sequence Modulation (ASM) Under Arbitrarily Correlated Rician Fading Channel

The bit error rate (BER) performance of antenna sequence modulation (ASM) under arbitrary correlated Rician fading channel is analyzed. The closed form expression of the BER is derived. By using Monte carlo simulations, the simulated results of the ASM are obtained. The comparison of the theoritical and simulated results show that they closely match each other. The performance is compared to the Alamouti Space-Time code and other MIMO transmission schemes. We conclude that in spite of the low spectral efficiency, the BER performance of the ASM is better, making it a suitable transmission scheme in areas where high reliability is a priority.
