Medium and Long-Term Photovoltaic Power Generation Forecasting Model Based on Elman Neural Network Optimized by Vortex Search Algorithm

The medium and long-term photovoltaic power generation forecasting model aased on Elman neural network optimized by vortex search algorithm is proposed in this paper. Elman neural network is a typical dynamic recurrent neural network, which usually includes input layer, hidden layer, context layer and output layer. It has the ability to adapt to the time-varying characteristics, so as to achieve the purpose of dynamic modeling. The vortex search algorithm based on swarm theory is a new adaptive step size adjustment algorithm inspired by vortex mode. It is used to train the Elman neural network in the paper. The vortex search algorithm based on swarm theory has good global search ability. Through the prediction test for the actual photovoltaic power generation of photovoltaic power station, the results verified that the medium and long-term photovoltaic power generation forecasting model based on Elman neural network optimized by vortex search algorithm can obtain the satisfactory forecasting results.
