Temperature Measurement and Simulation Comparison of Collector of Traveling Wave Tube

The thermal finite element simulation model is an important method for the temperature simulation and design of the collector of the traveling wave tube. In this paper, the multistage depressed collectors(MDCs) non-welded of a space traveling wave(TWT) tube with a Ku-band of 150W and a total efficiency of 60% is used to establish a temperature simulation model for the collector of the traveling wave tube, and a thermocouple is used to measure the temperature on the fourth electrode of the collector. The model is corrected based on the measured temperature and the unary linear regression method, so that the model simulation can be used to obtain the true temperature close to the inside of the collector. The results show that the similarity between the calculated results of the revised model and the measured temperature is greatly improved.
