Optimizing Power Output of Solar Arrays through Shifting Arrangement Reconfiguration

In recent years, numerous solutions have emerged to decrease the adverse effects of partial shading (PS) concerning the functionality of photovoltaic (PV) systems. Enhancing energy capture is essential for optimizing the effectiveness of solar installations, a process affected by variables like the configuration of power electronic devices, environmental shifts, and system dimensions. While several configurations, including series, parallel, series-parallel, total-cross-tied, bridge-linked, and honeycomb, have been suggested, they can encounter limitations such as insufficient shading distribution, mismatch issues, and line losses. In response to these challenges, the concept of array reconfiguration has emerged as a promising solution. This paper delves into the present status and progress in the field of PV system reconfiguration, focusing on the introduction of an innovative approach known as Corner Shifting Arrangement (CS) reconfiguration aimed at Enhancing the efficiency of photovoltaic solar panel output. We conduct an extensive evaluation, comparing the efficiency of the newly Suggested physical reconfiguration with conventional array setups. This assessment includes an examination of parameters such as Mismatch Loss (ML),Fill Factor (FF), and Global Maximum Power (GMP).
