Research on W-band Synthetic Aperture Radar imaging technology

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging technology utilizes a small antenna moving at a constant speed along a long linear array to radiate coherent signals. It coherently processes the received echoes from different positions to obtain high-resolution imaging. In the case of high-frequency bands, SAR has smaller radar size requirements, higher resolution, stronger anti-interference capabilities, and better penetration. This paper focuses on the research of precise ranging and radar imaging using W-band SAR. A typical W-band SAR imaging system is constructed, and functions such as pulse compression-matched filtering-based ranging algorithm and wave number domain-based radar imaging algorithm are applied to achieve RF control, distance measurement, and radar imaging validation.
