Greenhouse Complex Power Supply System

Greenhouse complexes focused on the cultivation of tomatoes and cucumbers are enterprises with an energy-intensive technological process. The main primary energy resources needed to grow these vegetables are natural gas, electricity and water. These energy resources are used in the systems of electricity and heat supply of the greenhouse complex. The volume and cost of heat and electricity affect the cost and quantity of products. The share of energy costs is about 40% in the cost of tomatoes and cucumbers. Technical solutions are proposed to improve the economic efficiency of energy supply. To achieve the goal, it is proposed to increase the energy efficiency of the production of heat and electricity in the energy supply system. The use of a cogeneration plant using gas piston technology allows this to be achieved. The economic feasibility of using cogeneration in the heat and power supply system of the greenhouse complex is shown.
