Availability of Hydroelectric Generating Units based on the Maintenance Schedule

The paper uses the technique called “frequency and duration”, a continuous-time Markov chain, for evaluation of availability and reliability indicators of a hydroelectric power station using the operational data spanning 12 years (2010 ÷2021). The availability and reliability of individual units and for the entire power station are evaluated using failure rate λ, repair rate µ, Mean Time To Repair, Mean Time Between Failures, Mean Time To Failure, state probability, state frequency and departure rate.
