Vulnerability Analysis and Risk Scoring of Networks

The complexity of networks and many new vulnerabilities has become a big issue in the cyber world in the last few years. This issue demands more strategies and techniques to improve the security of the cyber world. One of the most important keys to cyber security is utilizing the many different methods of penetration testing. Penetration testers are a must in every organization these days. In this article, the security weaknesses in machines, networks, software, etc. are identified and thereby detect vulnerable systems. Provide a risk score for vulnerable systems, based on the intensity of vulnerability, and lastly perform white box testing to protect the network and generate the risk analysis report. More specifically, the report covers the scope of the test, information gathered on pre-identified potential vulnerabilities, attempting to exploit vulnerabilities, reporting all the discoveries made during the pen test, and providing a Risk score.
