Braking Energy Recovery of Pure Electric Vehicles with Compound Control Strategy

To increase the range of pure electric vehicles and improve safety and stability during a braking, a compound control strategy that combines a fuzzy control algorithm based on the I curve, ECE regulation (M curve), and f line group is proposed. Braking energy recovery is affected by a variety of factors, and this paper primarily selects three influencing factors in order to develop a schematic diagram of the recovery of energy control strategy. A fuzzy control strategy with three input parameters and one output parameter is created by design a fuzzy controller, which uses the braking force, battery SOC, and the required vehicle speed as the input amounts and the proportional coefficient K of the motor participating in the braking as an output amount. Under the NEDC cycle condition, the control strategy of the AVL_Cruise and MATLAB/Simulink is simultaneously simulated. The results showed that the effective recovery efficiency of energy has been increased by 3.824%.
