Cascade Notch Filter with a Unity Feedback and Improved Transient Response

This paper presents the results of the synthesis of a Newton and Butterworth cascade notch filter with unity feedback. A special algorithm has been developed that implements the estimation of the transient process time for a cascade of notch filters with unity feedback. The results of the implementation of the algorithm demonstrated that the Newton notch filter stage has a monotonic transient response, the duration of which is much shorter than for the Butterworth filter stage.
