3-phase 8-pole Dual Axial Gap type High-Torque High-speed Induction Motor

This paper presents the development of the 10000rpm axial-gap type induction motor that utilizes the improved ultra-thin 3.5% S-steelstrip wound laminated core with 96% space factor. This motor employs dual-axial structure with 3-phase 8 poles and repulsive structure. The rotor of this motor constructures a two-layer 30-bar copper secondary circuit. An 80 $\mu \mathrm{m}$ thick sheet is coated with an insulating inorganic coating in the wound laminated core. Although it is a wound iron core, it is not affected by crossover magnetic flux and maintains good high-frequency magnetic characteristics. The developed motor demonstrates high efficiency and high torque in the high-speed rotation range.
