Impact of Industrial Risks on the Environment and Simulation by PHAST Software *CASE: HP Separator – DR HBK – SONATRACH

Explosion hazards can pose a serious threat to the environment. Unexpected blasts can have serious consequences on terrestrial, marine and atmospheric ecosystems. These risks can arise from various sources, such as industrial installations, transport of hazardous materials, accidental explosions or terrorist activities. In this paper, we will explore the harmful effects of explosions on the environment and the importance of taking preventive measures to protect our fragile ecosystem. Our work consists of a risk analysis to determine exactly the impact of industrial risks on people and the environment. The study focuses on the HP separator at DR HBK (Haoud Berkaoui) SONATRACH. We applied the HAZOP (Hazard and operability study) method as well as the X-RISK software, then a simulation of our results by PHAST software (Process Hazard Analysis Software Tool).
