Simulation study on internal flow characteristics of a helicopter fuel ejector pump

In order to improve the working characteristics and efficiency of a helicopter fuel ejector pump, on the basis of analyzing the principle of ejector pump to transfer aviation fuel, fluid simulation software was used to simulate it, and compared with the experimental results. The reliability of the simulation method is verified, and then the working characteristics and efficiency of the ejector pump under different operating conditions (pressure ratio) and different structural parameters (throat distance coefficient A, contraction Angle α, diffusion Angle β) are studied. It is concluded that the efficiency of the ejector pump first increases and then decreases with the increase of the pressure ratio. There is an optimal pressure ratio, and the optimal throat distance coefficient is about 1.5. The optimal contraction Angle is about 30°, and the optimal diffusion Angle is about 6°, it provides a reference for the design and optimization of a helicopter ejector pump.
