Design of Global TT&C of Manned Spacecraft Based on Beidou Short Message System

In addition to providing positioning, navigation and timing services, the Beidou Global Navigation Satellite System can realize global and regional short message communication function. Global tracking, telemetry and command (TT&C) of manned spacecraft based on Beidou short message is of great significance to manned spacecraft. Based on the analysis of the distribution characteristics and service capability of Beidou satellite, a real-time TT&C scheme of manned spacecraft telemetry, positioning data and astronaut short message is proposed. At the same time, the frame format of short message data is designed. Then the TT&C coverage support capability and link characteristic of Beidou system are analyzed. Finally, the method is tested on the ground and verified by the manned spacecraft in orbit. It is proved that the method can meet the global full-time TT&C requirements of manned spacecraft.
