Delay Optimization Offloading Strategy under Cloud-Edge-End Collaboration

For B5G/6G, the degree of intelligence of Internet of Things (IoT) terminals has gradually improved, and emerging intelligent applications have higher requirements for task delay. The multi-tier computing network framework has become the research focus to meet the requirements of the scenario. In this article, we investigate the computation offloading scheme in the cloud-edge-end collaborative scenario and propose a joint strategy of computation offload and resource allocation to optimize the task delay. Then, the optimization problem is formulated as a nonlinear programming problem. Based on the constrained conditions, the problem is decomposed into two sub-problems: computation offloading and resource allocation, which are solved using the simulated annealing (SA) algorithm and convex optimization, respectively. Finally, simulation results demonstrate that the proposed collaboration offloading scheme is efficient, and the delay optimization outperforms other offloading schemes.
