Design of Space Link IP Network Protocol based on USLP

Aimed at the requirement for efficient data transmission among space-ground, inter-satellite, and intra-satellite networks, this paper proposes a new onboard integrated information network protocol stack. The Space Link Subnet protocol adopts layered model, including Physical Layer, Data Link Layer, Network Layer, Transport Layer, and Application Layer, which integrates CCSDS and TCP/IP protocols to realize the compatibility of communication protocols between Ground Link Subnet and Onboard Link Subnet. The development of Unified Space Data Link Protocol for all heterogeneous space links targeted for mixed transmission of multiple types of data. The Network Layer uses Encapsulation Packet and IP over CCSDS protocol to carries IP Packet, which realizes global unified IP addressing and data routing service. The Application Layer adopts the Space Packet protocol to realize the interoperability between the application program interfaces of different onboard equipment. The space-ground and inter-satellite communication scenarios are simulated in the ground test system, and the space link network protocol stack and data transmission service proposed in this paper are verified.
