A Modified Admission Control Algorithm of Self-similar Traffic Model Based the Priority

According to the self-similarity of current network traffic, this paper selected Fractional Brownian Motion (FBM) flow as the self-similar traffic model and proposed a call admission control algorithm based the priority. The proposed algorithm first estimates the bandwidth accurately using the statistical network calculus method, which has a higher degree of robustness and accuracy than traditional methods. Based on the provided priority levels, the algorithm prioritizes the admission of important traffic to ensure quality of service. When there is a shortage of link resources, lower priority traffic is sacrificed to ensure sufficient resources for high-priority traffic. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a steady admission property and effectively controls the admission of self-similar traffic. It can flexibly adjust to different network environments and provide reliable quality of service guarantees. Overall, the proposed algorithm provides a practical and effective solution for call admission control in self-similar traffic networks.
