Smart Sensing Technology for Distribution Communication Access Network Based on Raman Scattering Effect

In the context of the increased transmission rate and the more complex modulation format, the role of Raman scattering effect is becoming more and more important. In addition, the progress of semiconductor-pumped laser technology also makes the cost of Raman amplifier decline, which has become a necessary high-speed long-distance transmission system. In this paper, a Raman amplifier module with a compact structure, bidirectional switching pump mode and direct modulation of the pump is designed to provide intelligent sensing support for the distribution communication access network. The necessity and feasibility of Raman pump remote pump for the new multi-dimensional multiplexing coherent optical transmission system are analyzed experimentally, which provides a strong technical support for the communication of the power distribution network.
