Analysis of Current, Polarization and Lithium Concentration in the Porous Electrode of a Lithium-ion Battery during High-frequency, High-current (10,000C) Flow

Using an equivalent circuit model of the porous electrodes of the positive and negative electrodes that takes into account diffusion in the pores, we analyzed the current, polarization, and lithium concentration in the porous electrodes of a lithium ion battery when a high current sine wave corresponding to 10000C passes through one cycle. As a result, at high frequency currents above 10 kHz, the Faraday current in the electrode is small and the charging current in the electric double layer is large, while at 100 kHz, both polarization and lithium concentration changes are small. From this result, it is expected that the application of AC current at 100 kHz has little effect on the electrode.
