A Linear Method to Derive Projective Differential Invariants of Parameterized Curves

In this paper we deal with the projective equivalence problem for parameterized curves in an n-dimensional space. A simple linear method for deriving projective differential invariants of curves in an n-dimensional space is given. Explicit formulas of proj ective differential invariants in the case of curves in the plane are presented. The generating set of invariants for curves in the plane is two projective differential invariants involving derivatives up to the fourth order. The solution is concise and simple. With normalized parametrization the proposed projective differential invariants can be used in recognition of planar shapes in computer vision.
