Multi-sensor data fusion method based on FPGA

Combination navigation technology is an important development direction of the navigation system. Generally, single-sensor navigation will always inevitably exist in various problems. The combined navigation technology will combine the two or even multiple navigation systems to integrate its information for the information. Treatment makes the advantages of each subsystem complement each other to achieve the accuracy and stability required by the navigation system. With the advancement of technology, low-cost, low power consumption, high-precision, and high stability combined navigation systems have great application prospects. This article uses this as the background to select the global positioning system (GPS) and inertia sensor (IMU) for sensor fusion. the low-power, high-concurrency with high pioneering Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is used to build the Kalman filter platform, and the GPS and IMU are loosely coupled to build a combined navigation system. The results of the study show that this plan can achieve precise navigation, and the positioning accuracy has greatly improved compared to the single sensor.
