Analysis of electromagnetic wave propagation characteristics in magnetized plasma based on ODT model

Based on one-dimensional turbulence model (ODT), the dielectric coefficients of plasma turbulence in an external magnetic field are obtained. With the used of TMM(transmission matrix method), the reflection and transmission coefficients of electromagnetic waves in the plasma are calculated for different parameters, and the dissemination characteristics of electromagnetic waves in the turbulent flow of magnetized plasma are analyzed. The results described that when turbulence occurs in plasma, the increase of collision frequency decreases the transmission coefficient of electromagnetic wave in the band (0-35GHz) and increases the reflection coefficient in the band(55-100GHz). On the other hand, changes in the size of the magnetic field can also affect the dissemination characteristics of electromagnetic waves in plasma with turbulent flow, because changes in the external magnetic field will greatly affect the electron cyclotron frequency, thus changing the propagation characteristics of electromagnetic waves. These results supply a foundation for academic research for the study of electromagnetic wave dissemination in a plasma with turbulence.
