Dual-Polarized 2.45 GHz Retrodirective Array for Wide-Angle Microwave Power Transmission

This paper is based on the superheterodyne phase conjugation form to construct a 2.45 GHz dual-polarized retrodirective array system for microwave power transmission (MPT). The proposed system can automatically track the direction of incident wave within a wide angle range of −30~30 degrees, and transmit power at a distance of 1.2 m. The monostatic and bistatic RCS test results of the system show that the retrodirective array forms a self-tracking beam, which is in good agreement with the incident beam pointing. The MPT demonstration experiment shows that the rectified LED can be lit, which verifies the feasibility of the system solution.
