A 1-Bit Wideband Polarization-Rotating Programmable Reflectarray Antenna

In this paper, a 1-Bit wideband polarization-rotating programmable Reflectarray antenna is proposed. The antenna is designed based on a 1bit polarization-rotating Programmable element. Two groups of diodes are loaded on the surface of the element, and each group has two diodes. The working states of the two groups of diodes are opposite. The polarization rotation is realized by switching the working states of the diodes. Then, through the simulation of the element, the bandwidth is 14.1-18.3GHz, and the relative bandwidth is 25.93%. The reflection amplitude of the element in the operating frequency band is greater than -2dB. Then, a 14×14 array is formed by using the elements. Finally, the simulation is carried out at 17GHz, and the beam scanning of 0 ° - 50 ° is achieved, and the maximum gain is 19.4dBi.
