Distance CFAR Detector on Lie Groups in Radar Signal Detection

In this paper, using the geometric structure of the signal covariance matrices, adding some group structure, the whole covariance matrices is regarded as a Lie group. The characteristic relationship between signal and clutter is established by using the geometric characteristics of Lie group. The detection statistics are obtained by using the metrics on Lie group. By Monte Carlo simulation, the threshold is determined, and the distance detector on Lie group is obtained. The simulation results show that the Log-Euclidean distance detector has good detection performance.
