Research and Insight on Antenna Structural and Thermal Protection Design of BepiColombo MPO Spacecraft

The Mercury mission BepiColombo, launched in 2018, was the first time for the ESA to send the spacecraft to the high temperature orbit, following that, the design baseline of the deep exploration spacecraft worked around +450℃ is established solidly, and shows the great reference value for the deep exploration mission worked in the high temperature environment. This paper focuses on the high gain communication antenna applied in the Mercury Planetary Orbiter of BepiColombo, gives the feasible antenna design solutions for the operation in the extreme hot temperature environment in the future.
