Static and Dynamic Analysis System on Batch Flow Shop Algorithms for the Effectiveness of Part Number Production at PT. Shibaura

Batch flow shop is a method in scheduling that is used to streamline costs in an industry. The algorithm of this method is Static which is used first as a point of departure and then developed into a dynamic model. In these two algorithms there is an objective function optimization method that is carried out to find the effective total cost of a work group. The purpose of this method is to provide initial guidance to management in monitoring the optimization of the nesting program, management of machine usage, combinations of various forms of part numbers, work schedules for each job combination, critical points of work due to new jobs and optimization of a generated cost. The research was conducted by taking parameters related to the batch flow shop and scheduling data owned by the metal cutting industry. These parameters include the number of machines used, the number of product types, processing time for each machine and product, setup time for each machine, setup cost for each machine, work in progress costs for each product, storage costs for each product, and disruption data in the form of new jobs. will be taken into account with preliminary data from metal industry companies. The results obtained in this study were that the optimization method used succeeded in reducing the resulting production costs by 4% for static calculations and 13% for dynamic calculations with disturbances in the form of new jobs that would come. If combined, the cost optimization carried out is 17%.
