A Wideband Differentially Fed Antenna for Base Station

A wideband differentially fed base station antenna is proposed. The antenna consists of a reflective floor with microstrip lines, four metal columns, a radiator and a parasitic patch. The radiator has a two-layer structure, which can broaden the bandwidth of the antenna. In addition, the parasitic patch can improve the antenna gain in the high band. The antenna is driven by differential fed, and has a wide impedance bandwidth of 71.6% (1.7-3.6 GHz) for VSWR<1.5. Meanwhile, the antenna has stable radiation pattern and gain within the operational band.
