A High Isolation Power Divider Based on ISGW

This paper introduces a high isolation power divider based on two-layers integrated substrate gap waveguide (ISGW). Due to the self-encapsulation of the two-layers ISGW, it is hard to directly use the lumped resistance to improve the isolation of the power divider. This paper proposes a new way to achieve isolation between the output ports by using slotlines and electromagnetic band gap (EBG) square patches. Use this structure to replace the lumped resistance of Wilkinson power divider to improve the isolation between the output ports of the power divider. The simulation results shows that the isolation better than 24.3dB in the 31.4-33.1GHz band range without loading the lumped resistance.
