Design of a W-band High Stop-band Suppression Rectangular Waveguide Filter

Waveguide filter have been widely used in millimeter-wave and terahertz (THz) circuits for the advantage of high Q value, low insert loss and easy to realize. A W-band rectangular waveguide bandpass filter of twelve-order quasi-elliptic response is presented in this paper. The center frequency of the filter is 100GHz; passband range is 97.5 - 102.5GHz. The simulation result shows that the insertion loss of this filter is less than 1dB; and the return loss is more than 20dB. The out-of-band suppression reaches -104dB at 95.5GHz, and -70dB at 104.5GHz.
