Technology Enhancement of Millimeter Wave Mobile Terminal RF Testing

As one of the key technologies in 5G communication, millimeter wave (mmWave) technology brings many challenges to the RF testing of mobile terminals. This paper first introduces the evolution and current situation of 3GPP 5G standards. Then, the technology enhancement of mmWave mobile terminal RF testing introduced in 3GPP release 17 is analyzed and elaborated in detail from five main aspects. The third part summarizes the new requirements brought by new challenges and technology enhancements that have not yet been addressed and still need to be improved. Finally, the conclusion is made.
