Design of Wideband Multilayer Absorber based on Frequency Selective Surfaces

In this paper, a multilayer electromagnetic wave absorber made of two types of frequency-selective surfaces(FSSs) was proposed. In the low-frequency band, the upper FSS has a good absorption function, while in the high-frequency range, the lower FSS has a good absorption function. The simulation findings show that under normal incidence, reflection coefficients below 10 dB from 2.29 to 13.49 GHz, corresponding to a fractional bandwidth of 141% is realized.
