A Method and System for Time Synchronization in Nanoseconds Order, by Multi-Core Satellite Receiver Architecture

Time server accuracy can be improved to nanosecond accuracy, with the interconnection of the multiple satellite constellations. In this paper, GNSS system baseband is run on the one core of the processor and IRNSS baseband is run on the other core of the processor. OpenAMP framework is used for continuous communication between these two cores and received time is calibrated on to Rubidium oscillator. Fill up of time information from nanosecond register, in to PTP packet is done in the FPGA, to maintain nanosecond order accuracy and also to achieve the hardware time stamping capability.
